I had a pleasant stay at The Manhattan in Chiba, enjoying the cozy and well-maintained atmosphere, although the hotel does have a distinctly vintage feel. The breakfast offerings were diverse and satisfying, but I found the main dining options to be just average. Additionally, while the convenience to Makuhari Messe was superb, getting into central Tokyo requires a bit more planning and effort, which might be a consideration for some travelers.

My room had an antique charm and was surprisingly spacious for a Tokyo hotel. It did feel a bit quirky with its older design, but everything was well-preserved and comfortable—definitely a plus for my five-night stay.
Service
7.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional, making check-in a smooth process. However, I did encounter a hiccup with my corporate credit card due to the hotel's merchant coding, which took quite a while to resolve.
Location
6.0
The location is ideal if you're attending events at Makuhari Messe, being just across the street. However, it is a bit far from central Tokyo, which could be inconvenient if you're planning to explore the city extensively.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast buffet had a good mix of Asian and Western options, but the dinner was largely unremarkable. I appreciated the variety, though many local dining spots are within a short walk if you're looking for something better.
Facilities

While the hotel provides essentials like room service and laundry, it lacks amenities such as a pool or a full business center. This limitation could be challenging for longer stays, as there's not much to do on-site outside of your room.

During my recent stay at The Manhattan in Chiba, I found it to be a cozy hotel with a charming antique vibe. The location was ideal for attending my trade show at Makuhari Messe, which was just across the street. However, the check-in experience was a bit frustrating, as my room wasn’t ready until quite late. Overall, it provided a comfortable stay with some minor hiccups. 😊

The room was spacious for a Tokyo hotel, with a beautiful view of Tokyo Bay. It had a vintage charm but was well maintained. The bathroom was particularly impressive, featuring a large bathtub and all the necessary amenities.
Service

The hotel staff were very friendly and professional, assisting me from check-in to my room. However, my check-out experience was slightly marred by an issue with processing my corporate credit card, which could be a headache for business travelers.
Location

Located near the Makuhari Messe and a short walk from the train station, the hotel is convenient for both trade shows and exploring the area. However, the overall area of Chiba lacks the bustling energy of central Tokyo.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast buffet offered a decent mix of Western and Asian options, though the dinner menu was more limited and could use improvement. Descriptions were mostly in Japanese, which could pose a challenge for non-Japanese speakers.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had essential facilities, and I appreciated the availability of various dining options in the vicinity. However, it felt a bit outdated, particularly in terms of room maintenance.

I found Hotel The Manhattan to have a great location just a 5-minute walk from the train station, along with nearby shopping outlets. However, my experience was marred by significant issues, including outdated room conditions and service disappointments. Overall, the hotel has potential but requires major improvements to justify its pricing. 😕

Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious but terribly outdated, and the maintenance left much to be desired. There was mold in the bathroom, and the jacuzzi was dirty. That's not what I expect from a luxury hotel.
Service
5.0
The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed, and I had to wait until 5 PM for my room to be ready, even after a long journey. They even tried upselling me on a more expensive room. I appreciate the manager's apology and gesture of some cookies, but it felt inadequate for the troubles I faced.
Location

The hotel's proximity to the train station and shopping outlets made it really convenient for getting around. Nonetheless, the surrounding area doesn’t offer much excitement.
Dining
5.0
The buffet breakfast had a decent selection, but it was pretty standard fare. It didn't impress me – just a mix of typical options.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offers various facilities like room service and dry cleaning, but I didn't feel that they complemented my stay in any meaningful way given the issues I encountered.

I had a pleasant stay at The Manhattan, enjoying the beautiful decor and proximity to attractions. The staff were incredibly helpful, and the room was spacious, though I found the bed a bit hard. Dining options could be better, but there are plenty of nearby restaurants if you want something more local.

Rooms

My room was spacious and well-furnished, featuring three king-single beds and a beautiful marble bathroom. I loved the large windows with views of the parks, though the beds were on the firmer side.
Service

The staff were friendly and professional, providing hot towels during check-in and ready to assist with anything I needed. Their helpfulness really stood out during my stay.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located with a train station just a 5-minute walk away. It was easy to reach Disneyland in about 15 minutes by train, but be prepared for a longer journey to central Tokyo.
Dining

I only had breakfast once at the hotel, which was a decent buffet with standard options. I would suggest exploring nearby bakeries for more variety and better prices.
Facilities

The hotel offers a lovely lobby with boutique shops, but I found the internet access to be an extra charge, which was a bit disappointing.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel The Manhattan, complemented by stunning views and elegant decor, though the lack of swimming facilities was disappointing. The room was well-furnished, yet the internet charges felt excessive.

Rooms

My room on the 18th floor had large windows overlooking Tokyo Bay, and the bathroom was gorgeous with a deep bathtub. It also included modern comforts like a minibar, although the decor felt slightly dated.
Service

The staff were incredibly attentive and eager to help with any needs, providing hot towels during check-in—a nice touch. However, I was frustrated with the strict check-in timing.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to access nearby attractions like Disneyland. Plus, there are plenty of dining options in the area.
Dining

I enjoyed a good Western-style breakfast, though I found better options at nearby bakeries for a more economical start to my day.
Facilities

While the hotel offered ample meeting spaces and beautiful views, I missed having amenities like a pool or fitness center during my stay.
